Last week I was concerned about my weigh in, but it worked out ok. Some weeks are down a little, some weeks down more. Overall, I am averaging 2.3lbs per week. I think some people do much better, but I am very happy with this progress! I can’t think of another diet that I’ve ever done that has really come close. I’ve forecasted out my goals in a spreadsheet and am targeting 2 lbs per week to get to my goal. Anything over that is fantastic!
Why are the pancakes so good? I had them for breakfast yesterday with some Walden Farms syrup and they were great! The question is, where do I find high protein pancakes after Ideal Protein? While the foods that are offered are great, I don’t know where to find high protein, low carb versions for down the road. I’m worried that I’ll get used to having a mid afternoon snack of white cheddar ridges or a bar and will replace that with chips and a candy bar later! I’m happy to hear any advice!
I’ve made a few dishes lately that turned out ok. Thought I would share some. Nothing special, but maybe will generate some ideas for you. For the first, I had some mushrooms and some broccolini from the farmers market. So, I sauteed the mushrooms, steamed the broccolini in a microwave safe dish and boiled the IP rotini. Then I threw the broccolini and drained rotini in with the mushrooms and added a little bit of the Walden Farms Alfredo sauce. Came out pretty good and was a nice lunch. Only drawback was too many pans to cleanup.
If you are in a hurry, you can buy pre-cut veggies at many grocery stores. I got a nice selection at Whole Foods and threw it together with some shrimp and some Walden Farms Sesame Ginger and a little Braggs Aminos. Came out ok too.
