It’s been a while since I’ve had much to say. The NoviCleanse is almost done. One more day. I haven’t seen any bad side effects from it, which was one of my earlier concerns. I haven’t seen any giant weight losses either though. So for me, I’m somewhat neutral on it.
I tried the new Cereal Flakes a couple of times. They’re pretty good, but they’re also restricted! I didn’t realize this at first. Since I like the Crispy Cereal just fine, I think I will just stick with that rather than spend my restricted budget on cereal. I feel the same way about the Maple Oatmeal. It’s good, but not really worth it. I made a couple of recipes from various places on the web. One thing I made is the zucchini/chocolate cookies. I have to say that her picture looks a lot better than my cookies tasted, but it was something different. http://www.lamberjules.com/recipes/ideal-protein-recipes/ideal-protein-chocolate-zucchini-cookies-recipe/ I also made some stuffed peppers. I sort of adapted this recipe from a bunch of different IP recipes. First I cut the tops off of the peppers, cleaned the seeds etc, and the put them in the over to roast. For the filling, I chopped up some zucchini, another bell pepper, some jarred roasted peppers and a few cherry tomatoes. Then I sautéed that all with some ground beef, garlic, salt and pepper. Once that was done, I stuff already cooked pepper and put in back in the oven. Tasted pretty good. Good enough that I’m going to do it again this week. I’ll add some mushrooms and maybe a few other veggies that I can find this time too. I had left over filling so had that for dinner one other night with some cauliflower tortillas. http://slimpalate.com/cauliflower-tortillas-paleo-grain-free-gluten-free/ I’m not sure I would make those again. Some people love them! Next time, I might just add the riced cauliflower to the stuffed pepper mix. It’s all one big experiment!
