Sick season will be well underway soon, so if you are sick please, follow the following guidelines.
#1 PLEASE DON’T COME INTO THE IP OFFICE OR BRING SICK CHILDREN TO YOUR APPOINTMENTS. We will be happy to send you food or you can have someone pick it up. It’s important to have your food and stay on plan, but not at the risk of getting others sick.
#2 DON’T GO OFF PLAN! Continue to eat by your plan and choose antihistamines and congestion products that are in pill form instead of liquid. Even sugar-free liquids will kick you out of ketosis.
#3 DON’T USE SUGAR_FREE COUGH DROPS! Use a natural method to soothe your throat like the coat throat teas that you can get at any store.
#4 DON’T EAT CRACKERS & CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP! These are old comfort foods our grandmother or mother gave us when we felt bad. It is simply an emotional response to want those comfort foods. You can easily stay on Phase 1 with our soups and by making yourself chicken broth or bone broth. Add some chicken and some veggies and you have a very comforting and still protocol meal.
#5 REST! Take time for your body to heal. Allow yourself to sleep a little more and bring the busyness of life to a minimum.
