To phase off or not phase off? That is the question.

This journey has been one of the best journeys I have ever taken and that is including road tripping through Europe. I started this journey January 8th, 2016 with the intention to lose 63 pounds and begin phasing off, but when I reached that threshold last month, I didn’t feel that I was done yet, so I kept on phase 1. I have now reached roughly 68 pounds lost and I am revisiting the debate of phasing off and am pretty confident that I will do so before the end of the month.

So, the question becomes, when is the right time to phase off? Well, that is an extremely personal decision and one that can truly only be made for yourself. The questions that I have posed to myself are, do I like the way I currently look? Do I feel content with where I am at in my journey? How is my health? Am I within a healthy range?  Also, remembering that our coaches are there for us to dialogue our choices and desires when we aren’t quite sure what we want to do.

I personally took some time to journal my thoughts and feelings surrounding this journey and determined that I am nearing the point I want to phase off and that I am comfortable with that decision. As I begin the steps heading into the next phase of this lifestyle change, I am prepared to keep strong and maintain the good habits I have cemented into my new life. What factors do you consider when phasing off?transitions.jpg

  1. You have done an outstanding job of staying on track to reach your goal and beyond! The good news is that you can phase off and conquer maintenance and then if you feel that you want to go a bit further, you can pick a time to do that in the future!
